unfortunately I forget shit all the god-damn time.
I’ve always looked for a piece of software that showed the entire lifecycle of a song. From my video recordings of the guitar neck for remembering chord voicing right up until an album release. This is a work in progress, but I’ll tell you what its a great start. I cant tell you how many times I’ve forgotten a lick, or had to reteach myself my own song by ear. Cataloging each original song is me admitting that I’m getting old, while at the same time leveraging the technology around us all now as a means to organize my thoughts during the creative process
Here I’m going have a collection of files that help me keep dibs on the lifecycle of a song. How I record a song, what initially inspired me, settings on the amp, the DAW, what instrumentation was used. Doing so will help the scientific method, and reproduction of a feel. Often it feels like Ive written the same song many different ways.
